How to use this tool
Unix file permissions assign read, write and execute rights separately to the file owner, group and other users. Each group maps to a digit from 0 to 7, producing a three-digit octal mode such as 755 or 644. This tool covers the basic nine permission bits; setuid, setgid, sticky bits and access control lists require separate consideration. Avoid granting write or execute permissions more broadly than necessary.
