How to use this tool

Enter a bill subtotal, any separate tax amount, an optional tip percentage and the number of people sharing the bill. The tip is calculated on the subtotal, not on tax. The result shows the total and the equal share per person. For unequal splits or different tipping conventions, calculate individual shares separately. Small rounding differences may occur when the total cannot be divided evenly into cents.
